Home / The system The system

Everything the canopy needs, in one system.

Temperature, humidity, airflow, and CO₂, engineered to operate as a single ductless environment, not four vendors fighting in your ceiling.

01–07

VRF is the foundation. We engineer everything around it.

Variable Refrigerant Flow adjusts capacity to real demand instead of cycling on and off. Every other system is sized and tuned to work with it.

01

VRF Grow Room HVAC

Cooling · Heating · Variable capacity

Inverter‑driven compressors and ECM fans deliver only the conditioning the facility needs at that moment, so temperature stays stable instead of swinging with every cycle. How VRF works →

02

Reheat Dehumidification

Hot‑gas reheat · VPD

Hot‑gas reheat pulls moisture without overcooling the room, so you hold VPD steady through lights‑off and the heavy transpiration of late flower and harvest.

03

Air Mixing

Crossflow · Environmental uniformity

Air‑mixing and crossflow fans erase micro‑climates, moving conditioned air evenly from the top tier down to the canopy floor, with no hot, stagnant corners.

04

Ventilation

Fresh air · Life safety

Filtered outside air and carbon‑filtered exhaust, introduced only as conditions require, for code compliance, CO₂ safety, and backup ventilation.

05

Air Quality

MERV 13 · Ozone‑free UV‑C

Filtration and UV‑C purification keep circulating air and HVAC coils cleaner, protecting both the crop environment and the equipment.

06

Controls

Monitoring · Automation

Zone‑level visibility to monitor conditions, adjust setpoints, schedule equipment, and get alerted when a room drifts out of spec.

07

Grow Room CO₂

Enrichment · Controls

Precise CO₂ enrichment integrated with climate and controls, so you push photosynthesis without wasting gas, or putting staff at risk.

Reheat Dehumidification

Humidity control without the energy penalty

Our VRF hot‑gas reheat reuses waste heat from the cooling process. No electric reheat.

EasyRoots recovers waste heat already generated by the grow lights and uses it to reheat air after moisture removal. Combined with strategic air mixing, it holds temperature and humidity at target simultaneously, at lower input costs than traditional hot‑gas reheat, and it's backed by 10‑year warranty coverage.

Up to 70 to 80% lower cooling and dehumidification costs. Results vary by project, climate, and system configuration.

Cut the duct. Reclaim the canopy.

The reason we build ductless: ducted systems cost you the most valuable space you have.

Ducted systems hang bulky runs across your ceiling, eating the headroom and canopy you're paying for, complicating the build and adding failure points. EasyRoots conditions air in-room, right where the plants are.

  • More usable canopy. Open ceilings, no overhead ductwork.
  • Lower construction cost. Fewer materials, faster installs.
  • Even temperature, humidity, and VPD across every tier.
  • Rebate-eligible efficiency, built in.

Ventilation & Air Mixing

Eliminate microclimates. Improve environmental control.

Continuous air blending for uniform temperature, humidity, and CO₂ across the room.

Even in a well‑designed facility, air naturally stratifies: temperature layering, humidity pockets, uneven CO₂, and dead‑air zones. Our air mixing systems continuously circulate and blend conditioned air throughout the grow room, increasing CO₂ contact time, reducing mold and mildew risk, and creating consistent growing conditions across the entire canopy.

Up to 50% higher heating, cooling, and drying efficiency by reducing stratification.

Ventilation System

Fresh air when you need it. Complete control when you don't.

Intelligent outside‑air management for modern cultivation.

A cultivation facility has to manage fresh air, CO₂, heat, and humidity while holding conditions stable. The EasyRoots Ventilation System introduces filtered outside air and carbon‑filtered exhaust only when operating conditions call for it, so you meet mechanical code without giving up environmental control.

Unlike a traditional economizer that simply pulls in outside air, this integrates filtered intake, carbon‑filtered exhaust, environmental controls, and air mixing into one coordinated strategy.

  • Code compliance: supports the controlled ventilation that mechanical code requires for life safety.
  • CO₂ safety: controlled ventilation for CO₂ management, protecting staff and crop.
  • Odor management: exhaust runs through carbon filtration.
  • System resilience: backup ventilation during HVAC interruptions.
  • Humidity recovery: supports the room through high‑humidity conditions.

UV Purification Box

Cleaner air. Cleaner equipment. Better growing environments.

Integrated MERV 13 filtration and ozone‑free UV‑C, built for our ductless systems.

Contaminants don't just circulate through the grow room, they accumulate inside the HVAC system. The UV Purification Box captures return air from the canopy through a MERV 8 to MERV 13 filtration upgrade, then treats it in a dual ozone‑free UV‑C chamber that helps reduce microbial growth on coils and internal components before clean air continues into the system. It also supports cleaner condensate collection for potential reclaim applications.

Just want to thank the guys out at easy roots for knowledge and passion that they have in their work. Working with Quentin and Ian was great!! Very pleased with the equipment that we purchased from them, everything is top notch with them.
